Why It Matters

Crowdsourced Conservation

Professional monitoring programmes, however sophisticated, are bounded. Hydrophones and AI-classified photo transects capture a slice of the reef. But divers visiting Wakatobi see things the sensors don't — a rare species, a behavioural moment, an unexpected sighting.

FinLog turns every dive into a data point. Observations are geo-tagged to reef cells, species are identified (with help from our ID library), and the community record becomes a layer on top of the scientific monitoring.

For the marine biology team, it's intelligence. For divers, it's engagement. For partners, it's richer data — and a human story behind the science.
